Bespoke Watch Strap, Single
Simple, and a little more rugged
Bespoke Watch Strap Regular (left), Pueblo cognac, volume option / Bespoke Watch Strap Single (two on the right), Pueblo cognac (Normal stitch), Rally volpe (Casual stitch)
Unlike the Regular type, which is made by layering an outer leather, lining, and reinforcement, the Single type is made from one full piece of leather. It is the simplest and most casual structure in the bespoke watch strap line. Since no lining or reinforcement is added, the original thickness, texture, and natural reverse side of the leather remain visible, and the strap becomes more comfortable as it wraps around the wrist with use.
Because of this simple structure, it is suited to those who prefer the natural character of leather and a lighter wearing feel rather than the refined volume or form retention of the Regular type. It especially pairs well with vintage watches and rugged tool-watch styles.
Normal stitch and Casual stitch are both available, so the strap can be styled in a more casual way according to your preference and the mood of the watch.

Dense saddle-stitch hand sewing used in traditional harness work

Saddle stitching is a hand-sewing method derived from a special two-needle technique used in medieval Europe to make harness goods durable..
Unlike machine stitching, where upper and lower threads are interlocked in the middle, saddle stitching is less affected by a single broken stitch and allows a skilled crafter to maintain even tension regardless of thickness or structure. It is superior in durability and also has an elegant diagonal appearance.
Because it requires considerable time, even many luxury watch straps and straps by famous handcraft leather brands finish only certain parts by hand and rely on machine stitching for the main sewing.
Arte di mano has made all of its camera cases only with saddle stitching for 20 years. For watch straps, because the product is smaller, we use an even denser hand-stitching pitch in the 2 mm range.
This is a symbolic expression of handwork that stands beside mass production, and of durability itself.
For the Single strap, Normal stitch and Casual stitch are offered so you can create different moods according to your taste.
.
316L Stainless Steel Hardware Used for Medical Instruments

The metal parts used in the bespoke watch strap, including spring bars and buckles, are basically made with 316L grade stainless steel.
316L, often used for dental and medical instruments, costs several dozen times more than ordinary steel parts and 5 to 10 times more than general stainless steel.316L offers excellent corrosion resistance against moisture and salt, and the L indicates low carbon, which generally provides better characteristics.
Because these parts touch the skin directly, we raised the grade of the metal. Through many years of work, we clearly understand how these small differences combine to create value in the final product.
* Materials may vary depending on the combination for specifications other than the basic configuration.

Basic buckle provided when 18 mm is selected
Luxurious Signature Edge-Coat Finish Through Repeated Sanding, Coating, and Heat Treatment
* The product in the photo is the Regular type, not the Single type, but the same finishing method is applied.
When leather is cut, an exposed edge is inevitably created, and any carefully made product must treat that edge in some way. The difference in edge finishing creates a significant difference in workability and time, and it is also a strong element that reveals the maker’s quality standard and technical level.
The edge-coat method is one of the most luxurious edge-finishing methods because it includes application and drying time. For the same reason, many brands and factories avoid making exposed edges, or use thick finishing agents to build up a large amount of coating in fewer steps.
Depending on the maker’s skill, this can look clean at first, but the real issue appears with use. A thick edge layer may crack over time or peel away entirely.

However,Arte di mano sets its recipe with use over time in mind, so the product looks its best when the leather has aged properly.
Using a very low-viscosity finishing material imported exclusively from Italy, we do not simply apply the finish. We combine post-processing recipes at each stage, including burnishing, sanding, coating, and heat treatment. Even by application count alone, more than 10 coats are applied, and with post-processing included, more than 20 steps create a very thin, closely bonded finishing layer.
Through this process, we created an edge finish that does not peel off as a whole, but naturally wears in along with the beautiful aging of the surface.
We also provide care service for the finished edge throughout the lifetime of the product. After enjoying the aging for a while, you can send it to us once for care and restore the edge finish.

Options
We offer a wide range of choices for watch straps.
1. Quick-release spring bars
Extra cost : USD 30.00

Quick-release spring bars are a very safe and easy option for changing straps while minimizing damage to the lugs.
Changing a watch strap usually requires a dedicated tool, and even with the tool, it is easy to leave marks on the watch. With quick-release spring bars, you can replace the strap simply by pulling the lever.

This option is strongly recommended if you use two or more straps or bracelets depending on mood or purpose. Even if not, it is recommended to reduce stress on the watch lugs whenever you may need to remove the strap later.

Arte di mano quick-release spring bars are based on 1.8 mm 316L stainless steel. For watches with narrow space between the lugs and frame, you may request a change to 1.5 mm after ordering by phone (02-747-7509) or Kakao Channel (search jnk, JnK-handworks). However, 1.5 mm is not stocked in every size, so late requests may require additional time.
.
2. Stitch type -Normal stitch / Casual stitch
Extra cost : none

Crocodile Olive, 1.5 mm volume option applied, quick-release spring bar option applied
Single type straps can be made in either Normal stitch or Casual stitch depending on the style you choose.
Normal stitch is the most basic form, with stitching placed along the end of the strap.
It gives a cleaner and more orderly impression, making it suitable for classic watches or straps with a neat atmosphere.
Casual stitch is a method where a short point stitch is placed at the end of the strap.
Because the stitch appears as a decorative detail, it creates a more vintage and casual mood, and pairs especially well with rugged leathers or naturally textured leathers.
Please choose according to your preference and the mood of your watch.
.
3. Buckle selection
Extra cost : Depends on the buckle selected

When the buckle-side size is selected as 18 mm,
a pin buckle engraved with the Arte di mano logo is provided as standard.
e.g. 22-18 / 21-18 / 20-18 / 19-18, etc.
For other sizes, if we have a basic pin buckle in that size, it will be provided.
If we do not have a buckle in stock, the basic pin buckle may not be provided.
The available buckle types will be updated later.
.
4. Add D-buckle (available only for 18 mm buckle size)
Extra cost : USD 40.00
* A basic pin buckle is included with the product. The shape of the basic buckle may vary depending on the buckle connection size.
A D-buckle, also called a folding buckle, is more convenient to wear than a pin buckle and comes in many forms. Among these, we use the IWC-style D-buckle.

The advantage of this shape is that the strap is not bent or damaged during folding, which is an important hint for dramatically extending the life of the strap. It offers not only convenience but also a much longer life as a leather product. :)

Left - 18 mm standard pin buckle / Right - 18 mm D-buckle
.
5. Personal initial engraving
* For the Single type, engraving is available only on the front side of the strap. Please keep this in mind.
Combined engraving : USD 10.00 / Basic engraving : USD 15.00 / Advanced engraving : USD 70.00

You can personalize any Arte di mano product with your initials.
Combined engravings are limited to 7mm vertical height and use only the capital letters (numbers, spaces allowed) of the fonts listed below.

For Basic engraving / Advanced engraving,
ㅛou can choose any of the fonts listed below. Please submit your request as follows. Both Korean and English are accepted.
Words : / Font :
Example) Words : JnK-handworks / Font : inkburrow

* Initials are charged for the production cost of the initial plate.
For those who choose basic engraving or copperplate engraving,
if you've previously had initials made with us,
we can re-create the same initials at any time without additional cost.
* However, combination initials require a combination for each request, so a fee will apply each time.

Extra cost : none
Finish - Matt type, milling, parafiin / Softness - ★★☆☆☆

It contains rich oils and two-tone natural colors shown in the bent area by adding two colors one after the other and dyeing them. It is an attractive leather change. With natural milling and vintage color, the paraffin that has been piled up on the surface becomes more and more subtle with its use, and it becomes more attractive over time. Among the soft types of leather, it is the toughest leather. The surface dyeing treatment is very unique, so it is recommended for those who like natural and vintage leather products. The Rally volpe color is also Arte di mano's best-selling color.

(Vegatable tanned, Italy - BADALASSI CARLO)
Extra cost : none
Finish - Matt type, milling / Softness - ★★★★★

.

Dollaro
(Vegatable tanned, Italy - Walpier)
Extra cost : none
Finish - Natural glossy type, Embossed(Shrunken pattern), Hand brushed two tone dye / Hardness - ★★★★☆
This is a article developed by Walpier, the renowned Italian tannery, best known as Buttero.
Based on Buttero's original processing method and dyeing technique-After embossing a pattern on the surface, it is hand-dyed again to make the protruding part darker with a two-tone dyeing that has a natural luster and strong impression. Basically, vegetable leather has the characteristic that the feeling of use remains natural, but Dollaro has a surface rigidity compared to general vegetable leather, so it is a vegetable leather and is very resistant to scratches.
.

It has a very smooth surface and at the same time has a rich oil content, which makes it the best quality leather that boasts a moist touch despite being vegetable. Despite its smooth surface, it has a rich and deep color that is clearly distinguished from other vegetable leathers with the unique touch of leather, rather than an artificial feel, and the unique color expression of Buttero. Like other leathers containing a lot of oil, it is relatively weak against scratches, but the natural traces of the years passed by the accumulation of scratches are more attractive than any other leather. This leather is especially loved in Japan.
.

Compared to the Minerva box of the same color, the color density is a little heavier.Especially, when making a strap due to the difference in thickness, it is recommended when making a strap with a single layer method because it adds a sense of thickness and makes it possible to make a stronger strap It is a leather offering.
.

Extra cost : USD 10.00
Finish - Matt type, Art finish by steel ball / Hardness - ★★★☆☆
Pueblo is an art-finish leather from BADALASSI CARLO, a tannery famous for the Minerva box.
It is a leather that expresses details by rolling specially crafted iron beads on Minerva leather with a flat surface to create fine artificial scratches on the leather. When viewed in the state of a director, it is rather similar to a wounded leather, but if you look at the finished work as a product, you can see the expression of texture as an artistic attempt beyond that. Please refer to the result. It is a popular leather that is increasingly in demand around the world. It is recommended for those who enjoy the vintage feel.

Achab
(Vegatable tanned, Italy - BADALASSI CARLO)
Extra cost : USD 10.00
Finish - Natural glossy, Art finish by hand blade / Softness - ★★★☆☆
Achab is an art finish leather from BADALASSI CARLO, a tannery famous for its Minerva box.
It is a unique leather that is finished by making irregular sheaths one by one using a hand knife on the milled Minerva box leather. Produced solely on an intuitive sense, it is an extremely lyrical leather made only by one master crafter, even within the leather-producing tannery. The result is very dramatic, even more passionate compared to the same art-finish line, Pueblo. You can see the stylish expression of texture as an artistic attempt. Please refer to the result. It is recommended for those who enjoy a more bold and vintage style.

You'll find attractive leather goods that are finished with rough American leather and refined leather craftsmanship by Arte di mano.
.

Novonappa
(Hybrid tanned, France - HAAS)
Extra cost : USD 30.00
Finish - Matt type, Oil and waxy / Thickness - 2.0 ~ 2.2 mm / Softness - ★★★★☆
Novonappa leather is a hybrid type of leather with a vegetable finish on the surface of chrome-tanned leather.
Because it is chrome tanned, it is lighter than vegetable leather products, but the texture of the surface is like vegetable tanned leather, and the surface of the leather naturally ages according to use. In addition, the texture of the surface is very soft and moist due to the sufficiently absorbed wax and oil content. This is another kind of texture that can be found in the hybrid type, which is different from the vegetable type. Like Bridle, when not used often, the wax component inside the leather cuts off the surface to form a white powdery film, and when used again, the wax component melts again and penetrates to restore the original surface texture. This is the original leather of HAAS, France, which is a supplier of High-end luxury brands, and is used by the brand to create vegetable-looking tan or black products.
.

English Bridle
(Vegetable tanned, England - SEDGWICK)
Extra cost : USD 30.00
Finish - Bridle finish / Hardness - ★★★★★
Bridle leather is a premium leather that has the maximum fastness and sturdy tension that can be produced with cowhide enough to be used in the manufacture of horse harnesses such as reins and saddles.-Tallow and oil through vegetable tanned cowhide for more than 6 weeks. It is completed through a manual process of penetrating-finishing. In particular, the bridle leather used in Arte di mano is the original English bridle leather, the leather produced by SEDGWICK in the UK, which has a tradition of more than 100 years. It is the best among bridle leather that is used for bags used in the British royal family. When not in use or at low temperatures, a white powdery tallow is formed and occupies the surface, but with use, its characteristic smooth and luxurious gloss is gradually revealed.
It is cowhide made with the aim of cordovan, which is a horse's hip leather, and the surface is very hard, so the chewy texture of the cordovan is difficult to taste, but it has increased the density of the tissue by penetrating tallow.
.

SHELL CORDOVAN TOSCANA
(Vegetable tanned, Italy - Rocado s.r.l)
Extra cost : USD 80.00
Finish - Glazed, aniline dyed
Cordovan is leather near the horse's buttocks, and by extracting the glossy layer located inside the leather, it is produced as cordovan leather with extremely dense tissue. Or it's called a shell cordovan. The structure of the shell has a density corresponding to the dermal layer called the silver surface or surface of leather. In cowhide, the thickness of the dermal layer is usually considered to be around 0.2-0.5 mm, whereas most of the shell layers produced in cordovan have a thickness of 1 mm or more. Corresponding to the dermal layer, it is a very special leather with strong surface resilience along with the firmness of the tissue itself. It has a very rare value as only two small oval cordovan pieces can be produced from a single horse hide.
Italian Shell Cordovan is vegetable tanning made of 100% natural raw materials for a total of 6 months using the finest raw hides from Germany and Poland, and translucent dyeing and glazing using Aniline. It boasts the highest quality with the most diverse color lineup among cordovan, which is finished with a sophisticated finish using the surface gloss used and Italian technology accumulated.
The Italian Shell Cordovan, which forms a thick mania mainly in the production of shoes and accessories, is used not only by established manufacturers but also by young and trendy brands such as Tanner goods in the United States. It is very popular with creators all over the world.
Cordovan is a leather that needs care, and if you regularly manage it with a cream manufactured by the Cordovan manufacturer, which is sold together, or a cream that matches well with the creams on the market, you can always use it in a good surface condition.
* For ease of care, we recommend stitching similar to the leather's color.
* Due to the nature of cordovan, there may be differences in tone in the connected parts, and in the case of two-tone leather such as marbled, the differences in tone may be more noticeable.
.

ROCADO SHELL CORDOVAN
(Vegetable tanned, Italy - ROCADO S.R.L)
Extra cost : USD 80.00
Finish - Glazed, aniline dyed
Rocado s.r.l., a tannery producing Italian shell cordovan, is located in Tuscany, Italy, and has specialized in horsehide for over 30 years.
Unlike cowhide, horsehide is obtained exclusively from horses that died naturally. The tannery sources only the highest-quality hides from Germany and Poland. Furthermore, the entire tanning process, including vegetable tanning, is 100% handcrafted. Furthermore, the tannery uses eco-friendly methods, using only natural ingredients. Adhering to the slogan "Open Tannery," Rocado s.r.l. is a rare tannery that actively pursues new endeavors and technological developments, while maintaining a youthful spirit and adhering to eco-friendly, traditional processes.
Shell Cordovan Toscana Italia, a cordovan brand originally introduced in Korea as "Italian Shell Cordovan," was once a partner of the company. However, after the company split, the company now maintains the original tannery name, ROCADO, and introduces high-quality cordovan with the rich glazing we're familiar with, along with experimental new articles.
In addition to the original Classic, the company offers Marbled with a natural marbling color, Museum with a more natural and uniform two-tone, and Fingerprint with a fingerprint-like pattern.
The company excels at bringing out the natural luster of cordovan through the glazing process, creating a captivating collection of cordovan. This high-quality leather, sourced from a highly reliable tannery, boasts the smoothest surface quality and a stable, natural dyeing process, making it one of the world's finest cordovan leathers.
* For ease of care, we recommend stitching similar to the leather's color.
* Due to the nature of cordovan, there may be differences in tone in the connected parts, and in the case of two-tone leather such as marbled, the differences in tone may be more noticeable.
.

Horween Shell cordovan
(Vegetable tanned, USA - Horween)
Extra cost : USD 100.00
Finish - Glazed, aniline dyed
It is the shell cordovan leather of Horween, a representative American tannery that began in 1905. It is the most widely known leather type among cordovans that is dyed and glazed, such as the Italian cordovan introduced above.
American cordovan leather is a leather with a somewhat rough touch and texture, unlike Italian leather. If you enjoy the long reputation and the rough taste of American-this is leather to recommend.
* For ease of care, we recommend stitching similar to the leather's color.
* Due to the nature of cordovan, there may be differences in tone in the connected parts, and in the case of two-tone leather such as marbled, the differences in tone may be more noticeable.

This is the original leather of HAAS, France, which is a supplier of High-end luxury brands, and is used by the brand to create vegetable-looking tan or black products.
.
