The first samples were made using hand-sewn stitching, but apart from the laboriousness of the work, it was difficult to self-install.
In particular, self-installation was a task that had to be solved for overseas customers.
Have a non-challenging difficulty level without compromising the appearance.
The conclusion I reached after a long time of deliberation was to adopt a fastening method using the leather lacing technique, a leather craft technique that uses a leather strap to weave a pre-drilled hole without using a needle.
With as little effort as just tying shoelaces, you can create your own stylish and natural fastening that you like. (You can also use real shoelaces, sneaker laces, etc. to complete the fastening.)
It comes with a natural leather strap made of real leather, and can be completed in a short time using the base ball stitch technique, a stitching method used for baseballs guided through the video.
Of course, it can be fastened in various ways, but the basic size and clearance are designed with baseball stitch in mind.
Due to the nature of the baseball stitch technique using thick leather straps, a small gap is required at the cross-section closure.
It was designed with such a gap in mind, and this is an intentional design element, not a product problem.

This is Buttero, a representative article produced by Walpier, Tannery, which has been the third generation family business and produces the finest leather in Italy.
The leather is vegetable-processed using the finest French hides.
